As the website URL says... I'm Oliver Armstrong, born in New Zealand (NZ), and I travel full-time with my family, working 100% remotely as a Full-stack Software Developer.
I have solid experience in ReactJS, React Native, Remix, Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, Docker, SQL, Firebase... the list goes on!
I started web development freelancing in 2020, and in 2022, I began contracting full-time for a New Zealand company to work on a solo project building a farm water meter monitoring app (MERN stack).
I must’ve impressed them because they invited me to help the only other developer at the time, working on the business's main application, Elixir—a large Medical Practice Management app. During my time working on Elixir, I implemented hundreds of bug fixes, added new features, improved the UX/UI, built reusable components, and created a new Node/Express API to integrate with a third-party service—allowing Elixir to process specialist referrals.
